The IEEE EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Society’s field of interest is on engineering related to the electromagnetic environmental effects of systems to be compatible with themselves and their intended operating environment.

These areas include: standards, measurement techniques and test procedures, instrumentation, equipment and systems characteristics, interference control techniques and components, education, computational analysis, and spectrum management, along with scientific, technical, industrial, professional or other activities that contribute to this field.

What's New

EMC-S members have electronic access to EMC Transaction and Proceedings papers that can be downloaded (limit of 500 per year) at no additional cost to members through IEEE Xplore. This benefit was to be limited to 2008, but has been made permanent by a vote of the Board of Directors of the Society.

  • The EMC Society seeks your Nominations of individuals who qualify for an EMC Society Award. Nomination forms containing detailed information and downloadable forms for completion are currently available.

     
  • Please notice that IEEE/EMC Transactions has adopted the electronic procedure for submission of papers. For this submission, please address the site http://temc-ieee.manuscriptcentral.com/ , or click on the Submit Item to EMC Transactions link. (A registration is requested first. Use "Create a New Account" button.)

     
  • IEEE/EMC Transactions can now be read online through the IEEE Xplore® system.  They can be accessed by clicking the Xplore® EMC Transactions link in the left navigation bar.  On the Xplore® page, select “What Can I Access? under the “Welcome to IEEE Xplore” option.  You must have an IEEE web account to enter a username and password in order to access to the EMC Transactions.

     
  • An IEEE EMC Society Web Advertising and Subscriber Program is in place that is aimed exclusively at the EMC/EMI products and services industry. You can have your company or organizational logo posted on our web advertising page which links to your home page. Please note that this program does not endorse any commercial product or service.     • The EMC Society has developed a formal Memorandum of Agreement with the National Association of Radio and Telecommunications Engineers (NARTE). NARTE is a worldwide, non-profit, professional organization certifying engineers and technicians in telecommunications and electromagnetic compatibility.
